Christopher Lim (AIFD) is a highly esteemed florist with over 36 years of experience in floral design, spanning both Japanese and Western styles. He holds the prestigious rank of Riji in the Sogetsu School of Ikebana and is a Certified Floral Designer (CFD) from the American Institute of Floral Designers (AIFD). As an advisor to various chapters of Ikebana International, Christopher has shared his expertise globally, conducting live demonstrations, exhibits, and workshops in numerous countries including Japan, India, China, and the United States.
Throughout his career, Christopher has achieved significant milestones, such as creating floral decorations for Queen Elizabeth II’s visit and designing for Elizabeth Taylor and Malcolm Forbes’s yacht. He has been an official floral designer for beauty pageants and has received numerous awards, including a Bronze award at the Malaysian International Landscape & Garden Festival and the Most Popular Artist award at the International Flower Arrangement Show in Guangzhou.
Christopher has also served as a master demonstrator at various international events, sharing his knowledge and passion for floral arts in cities like Hong Kong, New Delhi, and Taipei. His work has been featured on television in multiple countries, and he has directed major floral exhibitions and festivals. As an educator, he teaches floral art in several Singaporean schools, nurturing the next generation of floral artists. Christopher’s extensive experience and dedication to the floral arts have made him a respected figure in the global floral community.
